I really enjoyed this game.It's a great game and should be in any video game collection.Fun. the game is soo cheep. I don't know why anyone would be reading these reviews. You can save at any time. just buy it.This game can be very fun. There are few games like this but I'm sure there will be a lot of games like it in the future since this game gets very good feedback from people who play it looking for a good, fun time. No need to worry about dying because you just re-spawn and don't really lose anything.The only cons:1) The characters you can choose from are not that great but since you don't ever see your character's up close it's fine. More character's or customization of them would of been nice.2) The game is very short, you can beat it very quickly.3) It can get a bit repetitive since every objective is the same, killing the bad guys and their boss every time with no surprises unfortunately.
The graphics are a coin toss, mainly because it has a cartoon-like appeal that you'd find in games like Borderlands.The gameplay is simple, you have two guns and a supply of grenades and you can switch them anytime if you choose. Stupid, pointless, and time-consuming. Fun at first, but like I said, after ten or so you get tired of it.The leveling is pretty absurd, almost as bad as Dead Rising.
There was really nothing to distinguish say one assault rifle from the next, other than clip size.You can only commandeer cars since there are no motorcycles, planes, tanks, bicycles, or even boats.There is no storyline, characters developement, plot twists, nothing. Another way to increase your attributes is by completing certain side tasks. There are a lot of different weapons but they are all pretty much the same.
You increase your stats like your health bar and your ability to jump by collecting orbs all around the city. It's simply you are a supercop that goes around climbing buildings, jumping off rooftops, and killing gangsters & thugs. I found this VERY repetitive and VERY boring after the first few gangsters were toast.There are 3 gangs and you roam around the city taking out the leaders and bosses one at a time.
For an examply, if you want your vehicle control to improve, you have to enter and finish races all around the city. All in all, if you don't mind repetitive games like Viking: The Battle for Asgard & Assassin's Creed, that are actually high-quality games just the same crap over and over, then go for this game and enjoy, if not, you'll end up jumping off a balcony - just like that supercop you play.
Its like they took GTA and made the protagonist a Super cop. I'd recommend it to anybody. And have
It is fun trying to figure out how to get onto a building. It was a new experience and really fun. I was really surprised by Crackdown. Your abilities upgrade over time, so you gain more ability to get to places you couldn't before.I really thought this was great. It is an open world, but driving is nowhere near as fun or responsive as GTA games. The main activity here is jumping and leaping around, trying to climb higher and higher to get to collectables. Since it was so new, surprised me, and I had a lot of fun playing it, I give it 5 stars. We'll see if a sequel is as exciting.
I played this game countless times and logged many hours of play making sure to build up the perfect character. I would recommend this game to buy for anything 20 or less. At the time i loved the game it was a good idea very in depth had some fun weapons and the vehicles were simply amazing. Well i have had this game for a few years now. Hand to hand with someone you get better combat skills etc. I am in teh process of replaying the game.
This added a lot more gameplay to the game.
Once i beat all the bosses though the game got stale because at the time there was no patch to make them respawn so there was really nothing to do but shoot random people.
You collect orbs to level up your skills which you get for killing characters a certain way or from exploring and finding xp drops.
I got it when they were offering the beta for halo 3.
Remember it is a crime fighting game but it does have some rpg elements.
Recently i plugged it in for a quick refresh on the game and saw that they had a patch to allow respawn of bosses.
Well the fun is back again.
You shoot a guy you get xp in gun skills.
And yes you can pick up cars and chuck em across the map =)
